Wild Salmon w. Dijon Honey Mustard Glaze

Serves: 2-3 ? | Prep ⏰: 3-5 min | Cook ⏰: 25-28 min


  • 1lb center-cut salmon filet. (seasonal catch suggested)
  • 2 Tbs dijon mustard
  • 1 Tbs honey
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ Tbs avocado oil (extra virgin olive oil can be used)
  • ½ fresh lemon, lemon zest
  • canola oil spray

Cookware: Copper pot with a cover or ceramic baking dish with cover + large spatula


Preheat oven to 365 degrees.

Lightly spray your pot or baking dish with canola oil spray.

Place the salmon filet, skin side down in the pot.

Drizzle the avocado oil over the filet, followed by the garlic powder & black pepper.

Evenly distribute the honey of the filet using the back of a spoon to gently spread it around, followed by the dijon mustard.

Squeeze the fresh lemon all over the seasoned filet and then scrape some lemon zest over the fish as well. 

Cut the remainder of the squeezed lemon into pieces and place in the pot (optional). 

Place the salmon into the oven on the middle rack and bake covered for 25 minutes.  Then carefully uncover the pot and continue cooking salmon for another 3-5 minutes.

Remove from oven.  The fish will easily slide onto the spatula and off of its skin.

Plate and serve hot.
