Serves: 2-3 🍴 | Prep ⏰: 2-3 min | Cook ⏰: 6-10 min
- 2 medium-size pieces of filet mignon (serves 2-3/double to serve 4-6)
- 1 Tbs EVOO (extra virgin olive oil)
- ¼ tsp garlic powder
- ¼ – ½ tsp black pepper (use ½ for an added kick)
- 2 Tbs BBQ sauce (I prefer Sweet Baby Ray’s)
Cookware: Broiler pan or grill top
Drizzle ½ Tbs of EVOO over one side of both pieces of the filet mignon, followed by ½ each of the garlic powder, black pepper & BBQ sauce.
Turn steaks over and repeat.
Place steaks under the broiler or on top of your grill.
Broil/grill for 6-7 minutes, turn over and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Remove from oven/flames and slice immediately to serve rare.
Adjust cooking times for the desired temperature.
